A novel casting procedure for SFRC piles without shear reinforcement using the centrifugal forming technique to manipulate the fiber orientation and distribution

The structural performance of steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) members primarily depends on the distribution and orientation fibers. Previous experimental studies revealed that fibers are random hardly controlled during fabrication process. centrifugal forming technique may improve in hollow circular SFRC piles increase shear strength piles. Accomplishing this task can lead to possible replacement reinforcements with piles, thereby improving demanding productivity is desired pile construction industry by saving considerable time labor. This paper presents a novel program (a) develop casting procedure for (b) investigate without reinforcement compared conventional reinforced (RC) reinforcement. With aid X-ray technology, different mix proportions methods were investigated determine optimum procedure, which produced fiber distributions orientations superior those RC method influenced so they oriented stress direction (i.e., circumferential direction). loading test demonstrated effectively worked as capacity increased content. Moreover, exhibited stable crack propagation improved post-cracking stiffness severe damage
